EUSR Asbestos Awareness
Course Details
The purpose of this programme is to provide learners with the knowledge and awareness needed to recognise asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), understand the health risks associated with asbestos exposure and work safely in accordance with current legislation.
This is an awareness course. It does not train learners to remove, repair or work directly with asbestos-containing materials.
By the end of the course, learners will understand:
- what asbestos is
- where asbestos may be found
- the health risks associated with asbestos exposure
- legal responsibilities
- methods of controlling asbestos risks
emergency procedures
- where to obtain reliable advice and guidance.
